The purpose of Cub Scout camping is to have fun and to create a
desire to continue to camp. The Shawnee Trails Council offers Cub Scout
Resident Camps for boys going into grades two through five next fall.
These boys will be your Wolf, Bear and Webelos Scouts next fall.
At resident camps, Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts camp overnight. Every
year, the resident camp has a different theme and different adventures.
Examples of themes are Sea Adventure, Space Adventure, Athletes, Knights,
Circus Big Top, American Indian Heritage, Folklore, and the World Around
Us.
Both Cub and Webelos Scout Resident Camp includes: camping, campfires, swimming, a
polar bear swim, one cookout meal, archery, BB-guns, hikes, ecology
study, astronomy, Scout's Own religious service, sports games and much
more. The boys are kept busy and have a great time.
