Known as a community leader in Murray, Kentucky, Gary was best known by many Scouts, leaders, and parents as the Committee Chairman for Troop 45, sponsored by the Methodist Men of the first United Methodist Church, located in Murray Kentucky. He had served in that role for fifteen years and had the honor to watch his sons, Greg Taylor, Charles Taylor, and John Taylor receive Scouting’s highest personal recognition, Eagle Scout. He will be greatly missed and remembered in the Scouting community and by the members of Troop 45 for his self-less, dedicated service to the young men of Murray, Kentucky.
