ATTENTION ALL WOOD BADGERS! Announcing the First Annual Shawnee Trails Council GILWELL SOCIETY Banquet If you have received your Wood Badge beads as a part of any Wood Badge course and live or volunteer in the Shawnee Trails Council, you are a member of the Shawnee Trails Council GILWELL SOCIETY and are invited to attend the First Annual Shawnee Trails Council GILWELL SOCIETY Banquet that will be held on July 25, 2009 at Camp Roy C. Manchester. Tickets will be available only in advance and will be $15 each or $20 for you and an eligible prospective Wood Badge participant. Included with the purchase of a ticket, you will also receive a first-ever Shawnee Trails Council Wood Badge CSP. The evening will culminate in an exciting Silent Auction featuring many Wood Badge and Scouting memorabilia. Plan to arrive early, 6:00 p.m. or so, to discover all of the items available in the auction and to catch up on the latest with all of your old Wood Badge friends. The meal will be served at approximately 7:00 p.m. and the final bids for items will be accepted between 8:00 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. All proceeds of the Banquet and Silent Auction will help establish a Shawnee Trails Wood Badge Scholarship fund, restricted for the use of future Wood Badge courses held in Shawnee Trails Council. Your participation will help stretch the Council operations and provide the highest trained leaders possible for the youth of our Council! So feel free to bring items for the Silent Auction, donations to the fund or both. Back to Gilwell, Happy Land.………….. R.S.V.P. not later than July 19th to Teresa Overby at to4b@mchsi.com or by calling (270) 559-8894 |
